Irish Tour - Dublin (Clonmacnoise)

Rovers Irish Tour, Dublin, Ireland

After a hearty Irish breakfast, we leave Galway and make our way to Dublin stopping along the way at Clonmacnoise. With a nearby ruined castle for company, the setting is quite sublime at Clonmacnoise – one of Ireland’s holiest and most significant monastic sites. Right alongside the River Shannon, an enticing air of sacred mystery pervades the remains, with its wealth of early church architecture, some of Ireland’s finest high crosses and most ancient round towers, all arrayed closely together within the confines of a walled field. We continue our way to Dublin and this evening you may want to make your way to Grafton Street on your own. Dublin’s most famous street is pedestrianized Grafton Street, the bustling heart of the city centre. You’ll find the biggest range of pubs, shops and restaurants in the busy hive that surrounds it, a warren of side streets and alleys that is almost always full of people. Many of the city’s most important sights and museums are here, as is Dublin’s best-loved city park, St. Stephen’s Green. Overnight at the Camden Court Hotel
